The Chifa system is an innovative project based on the use of advanced technology – the smart card called CHIFA. It is part of the modernization process of social insurance management procedures.

Technical Specifications of the CHIFA Card

  • Increased storage capacity including:
    • The last 40 prescribed electronic prescriptions
    • The last 400 dispensed medications
  • High-level data encryption system
  • Ability to consult all prescribed and dispensed medications
  • Estimated validity period of 10 years
  • High-quality manufacturing materials for durability
  • Ability to include additional administrative and medical information, such as:
    • Gender, category, chronic diseases covered
  • PIN code option for secure card usage
  • Enhanced security with both a printed photo and an embedded photo in the card chip

Uses of the CHIFA Card

It allows you to:

  • Verify the card’s validity
  • Verify the insured and beneficiaries’ entitlements
  • Track consumption
  • Automatically generate an invoice (care sheet)
  • Authenticate the cardholder
  • Electronically sign the invoice
  • Generate and send electronic invoices to CNAS

Information Stored on the CHIFA Card

  • Administrative Information:

    • Entitlement to benefits
    • Information on agreements
  • Medical Information:

    • Emergencies and chronic illnesses
    • Information on reimbursed procedures
    • Technical and security data

The Healthcare Professional’s Key (PS Key)

It is distributed to system-authorized professionals. It grants permissions based on the user’s role to perform card operations or issue electronic invoices.

It takes the form of a USB key
