›› Presentation of the CHIFA CARD

It is a Social Security card that allows identification of the insured person and their beneficiaries in order to assert their rights to Social Security benefits. It contains personal information about the insured (health status, medical follow-up, reimbursement for medications and medical examinations).

The insured person or one of their dependents simply needs to present their Chifa card at affiliated pharmacies, contracted doctors, contracted opticians, and also during any procedure at payment centers.

Card Beneficiaries

  • Socially insured persons or their dependents suffering from chronic illnesses covered at 100%, as well as patients with asthma, high blood pressure, and Crohn’s disease covered at 80%
  • Socially insured persons who are recipients of direct or survivor disability pensions, direct or survivor retirement pensions, or work accident and occupational disease annuities with a rate of at least 50%, and their dependents
  • Socially insured salaried workers or those belonging to special categories (AFS, IAIG, Disabled persons, Students, etc.) and their dependents

How to Obtain the Chifa Card

To obtain the Chifa card, the insured must provide the following documents:

  • Identity photo with a light background,
  • Photocopy of the national identity card,
  • Photocopy of the blood type card (optional).

This file must be submitted by the insured person or by their social representative (in the case of organizations), at the affiliated payment center.
